The Werribee Zoo wanted to update the transport hub where the safari trucks pick up and drop off visitors to the park. The Safari Station was build to resemble a jungle building that you may see in Africa or Nepal. We had to supply sets of old tree poles that were of similar diameter and these were used with recycled corrugated iron details to great effect for the station. We also supplied the recycled sleepers measuring 300 x 150 mm. They were brushed to remove the loose and splintering timber to create a smooth finish and were used for the public seating around the building. This sleepers also look great at home in the garden or around an outdoor table.
The transport hub is a stunning building that you would believe had been there for decades.
