The flooring at the Salter house on the Peninsular is recycled remilled Tas Oak that was sourced from the Pace egg farm. The timber was originally used as wall lining boards in the chicken shed. The shed was very old and Pace had decided to build a new shed. We obtained all the timber from the shed and re machined the boards in tongue and groove flooring. The unique dark brown and blackened timbers are the result of the oils over many years impregnating the grain of the timber creating a stunning floor.
