TASMANIAN OAK OVERLAY FLOORING

A beautiful looking timber that also can be stained or lime washed to create a stunning environment in a modern house or equally in older classic homes. Tasmanian Oak is light in colour, varying from pale straw to yellow-browns, with intermediate shades of cream to pale pink. The timber has a predominantly straight and even grain, with a texture that is uniform and fairly coarse.

Tasmanian Oak – EUCALYPTUS REGNANS, EUCALYPTUS DELEGATENSIS, EUCALYPTUS OBLIQUE,  is a mix of three almost identical species of eucalypt hardwoods, derives from the mountain areas and various plantations throughout Tasmania. The timber, when sourced from Victoria, is referred to as Victorian Ash.

Tasmanian Oak has a Janka hardness rating of 5.5.
